University Visit

Erdemir Romania General Manager Melih Türkeş, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Multidisciplinary Science and Technology Research Institute of Valahia University in Targoviste.

The president of the Institute, which comprises 15 different research centers and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, received the delegation and commented that they were ready for any kind of collaboration to contribute to regional and national industry.

The Institute has major equipment which can be used in metallurgy, including a Scanning Electronic Microscope (SEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS).

General Manager Melih Türkeş expressed his happiness with the existence of such an advanced institute in our region and said that there could be fruitful collaboration opportunities in our quality improvement processes, adding that they were open for projects which could be covered by European Union funds.
